Where the cameras come from
The map does not invent sites. A daily job reads the public files below, then places each camera on the road and looks up the limit in OpenStreetMap. A marker on the map links back to the file it came from.
New South Wales
- Transport for NSW speed cameras fixed, red light and mobile sites.
- Phone cameras: OpenStreetMap enforcement points, plus named sites from public reports, because TfNSW does not publish that list.
Victoria
- Find a road safety camera for fixed, red light and average speed sites.
- Mobile camera locations and phone and seatbelt sites.
Queensland
- Queensland camera locations map for fixed, red light and average speed.
- Queensland Police active mobile and trailer sites.
Other states and New Zealand
- ACT traffic cameras and distraction cameras.
- SA Police mobile cameras, WA Police red-light and speed cameras, Tasmania fixed cameras, NT speed and red light cameras.
- NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi fixed safety cameras.
Speed limits
Road limits and school zone hours come from OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL. Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap.
